Reminder to all Clubs to ensure the goalposts have been checked before the season begins - if they still have the "hooks" at the back of the crossbar or posts, you must ensure they are removed before the season kicks-off. If any League Appointed Referee spots any "hooks" at the back of the crossbar or posts, and decides not to play the fixture because of this, you could be fined as per League Rules for causing a fixture to be cancelled and any other punishment the Managament Committee may deem suitable. If you are not responsible for the removal of the "hooks" (ie: if it the responsibility of the local authority, then you may wish to check that this aspect has been dealt with) and do not cause any un-necessary fixture cancellations. If you are uncertain as to any aspect of this safety measure, please contact the League and we will hopefully pass on any information you require to assist you.
